Pearl Museum Special Exhibition 2024
Due to popular demand, the currently on display "Heisei Art and Crafts: Globe and Dream Hall" will be exhibited for an extended period.

Venue: Special Exhibition Room, 1st floor, Pearl Museum
This special exhibition was planned and produced as a commemorative project for the 100th anniversary of the invention of Mikimoto pearls, and focuses on the "Globe" and "Yumedono" which have been on display on the second floor of the Pearl Museum for a long time.
The works will celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2023, and as a special exhibition commemorating the 130th anniversary of the invention of Mikimoto pearls, we have been showcasing rare videos showing the production process of these two works, as well as introducing the famous people involved in their production on screen.We have also been exhibiting the actual globe that Kokichi Mikimoto once treasured.Due to popular demand, we will be extending the exhibition beyond the scheduled closing date (April 7, 2024).
We hope that more people will be able to experience the beauty of these crafts and the passion of the people involved in their production.
